The Strange Brew

The Strange Brew is a classic student pub; cheap drinks, theme nights, and all of the drama of a hundred or more intoxicated people in a confined space. It just so happens that these young people are mostly apprentices of the nearby Bards College and Academy of the Magick Arts, which rather ups the stakes.
While the Strange Brew is a relatively simple establishment that offers little more than beer, wine, and a bed (upon request,) there are frequent parties and theme nights that are excuses for games, costumes, and general foolishness. There are regular trivia nights (themed around arcane knowledge and local gossip; entry 1gp per team of 2-6) where a team can win various prizes such as gold or low-end magic items.

Purpose / Function

A tavern geared more towards students of the Bards College and the Academy of the Magick Arts, food and drink is relatively affordable compared to the rest of the Bridge District . Rooms are large, but strictly bare essentials.
A room at the Strange Brew will cost one 3sp a night.

Architecture

The stone building is old and in need of some minor repairs. Anything that can be managed with Prestidigitation and Mending is, but the floorboards are squeaky, the tables are wobbly, and the roof - plus some of the windows and walls - leaks when it rains.
The lower floor is the smallest, and the top heavy building looks like a serious storm might just strike it down.
