Isabel
"I am a Sage of Water and I am the Queen of Ordland.
I know what real power is. You....You aren't even close."

Keeper of the Eye of Senget, and Queen of Ordland, Isabel is a powerful political figure in the world right now. Growing up, she dreamed of becoming a queen of her own nation like her mother Queen Eryka of Lyonne, her father King Brenon of North Cassel, her aunt Queen Laura of West Cassel, and her uncle King Eldon of South Cassel. She later achieved this goal when she offered herself for marriage, for a political alliance between the kingdoms of Lyonne and Ordland.

Isabel got extremely lucky with her marriage to Alban the Fair. Monarchs are elected to hundred year terms in Elven kingdoms, selected by a council of the nation's nobles. She and Alban won with the endorsement of Alban's father, the venerable Arlez Mouel, who managed to hold power for several dozen consecutive terms in Ordland but was finally stepping down. Isabel is only eight years into her term as queen and at twenty six years old, it is slowly setting on her just how long a century is going to be.

Personality

Isabel might be half human, but she normally carries herself like an elf queen would, standing tall and limiting her emotions out in public. She is always proper and formal with her words. Her insults are subtle but always filled with enough contempt to put down even the most confident person.

Physical Description

At 6'4", Isabel is much taller than almost any Iron human female, but she is much shorter than most elves. Other than her height, most people would be confused about Isabel's origin with her appearance. She has a thin delicate frame with sharp features. Her ears are rather long for a half elf, which sells her appearance to many. Her piercing blue eyes put relevance behind her authority. Her hair isn't as fiery red as her sister Ren, but it can glow and flicker like fire when she casts magic.

As a queen, Isabel has access to an almost uncountable number of clothing options from across the world. She prefers to wear a fine silk underdress, and then wear plain cotton over this, colored in reds and blues. She wears an assortment of jewelry made from gold and various gems. The Queen of Ordland has several choices for what crown to wear, some dating all the way back to the Silver Age, but the ones she wears are always somewhat simple in shape and appearance.

Sometimes Isabel dresses much more simply than any elven queen would, she won't even wear any jewelry at all, giving off the appearance of a human out of her depth. She uses this as a tactic when dealing with certain types of politicians. They see her as 'simple' but always end up wildly underestimating her. She will also do this when negotiating with humans, as the simpler appearance puts them at east compared to the absurdly ornate appearances of some elven monarchs.

    Isabel
"Humans are so easy to reason with, if you remember they are humans and you bring yourself down to their level. Elves on the other hand always think of themselves as superior, which is soo easy to exploit!"

    Equipment

    Aros Cutter

This weapon was a gift from her sister Ren. This backsword's cutting edge is made of steel but the backbone of the blade is made of a steel core surrounded by Nickel. Several Aethercite crystals are set at the base of the blade, including a sapphire, an aquamarine, and an amethyst. These allow the storage and channeling of powerful water magics. When combined with the power of the Eye of Senget, Isabel's ability to cast water magic is unmatched by any except a Sengar.

Aros is the name of a moon that orbits around the planet Tarsuros. It is a cold dark world, where Lithane, the vampire queen lives. This sword is a Bronze age weapon designed specifically for killing vampires, who have a catastrophic fear of moving water. Isabel hasn't had to kill any vampires with it yet.

    Eye of Senget

This fist sized piece of aethercite is made of an unknown material. It is said that this used to form part of Senget, the Wellspring an ancient Dragon Lord with supreme authority over water. The jewel has several strange abilities, as it can be absorbed into the body by the user, and it can create floating watery constructs that resemble serpents. It also greatly amplifies the ability to cast water magic.

This jewel was thought lost thousands of years ago somewhere in the sea, but it was actually being held by the Sea kingdom of Atlatta. The King of Atlatta, Lumen, bestowed it to Isabel 18 years ago, as a peace offering between the sea elves and the terrestial elves. No one on the surface knows if it is actually the Eye of Senget or just an unusually powerful aethercite crystal, but it does give Isabel access to extremely powerful water magic.

    Relationships

    Family

    Queen Eryka

Isabel's mother and queen of Lyonne. Growing up Isabel was like a mini Eryka, much to the delight of her mother. Isabel freely offered herself up as a political pawn to further her influence. About the only difference between Isabel and Eryka was that Isabel never hated humans.

    King Brenon

Isabel's human father and former king of North Cassel. Isabel endlessly asked him questions about Casselian politics and about the larger world, wanting to be ready for anything that happened in her future. Unfortunately like everyone else in the Vernador family, Isabel was not ready when Brenon died.

    Renelle Vernador

Isabel's twin sister. Isabel was the opposite of Ren in many respects growing up, and she made a point to be the opposite of everything her sister did. When Ren started mastering fire magic, Isabel learned and started mastering water magic so to draw a larger contrast between them.

    Arden Vernador

Isabel's younger brother. Their relationship can best be described as each having some admiration for each other's accomplishments, and that's it. Isabel loved their mother and Arden could care less, which alwasy led to confrontation when the subject of Eryka's manipulations came up.

    Laura Vernador

Isabel spent nearly as much time with her aunt Queen Laura in West Cassel as she did with her mother in Lyonne. Laura tried for years to convince Isabel that there is more to life than wanting to rule a nation. Isabel didn't listen to this advice until she was crowned Queen of Ordland and started to feel a little lost.

    Saya Diaz (Vyerin)

for a time, Isabel was the only of Vyerin's three older siblings that would regularly visit North Cassel, so the two are somewhat close. Isabel has no care for whatever form Saya eventually decides to take, as long as taking back their birthright and being a ruler of Cassel is part of that form.

    King Alban the Fair

Isabel married Prince Alban when she was 16 to cement an alliance between Lyonne and Ordland. Alban became a king only a year later. He didn't want to run, but with an endorsement of his father and a lot of pushing from Isabel, he was easily elected. Nearly every noble in Ordland thought they would be able to manipulate Ablan, who was quite young for an elf, but Alban has been able to hold his own, thanks in no small part to his wife. Now the nobles have to wait a hundred years to fix their mistake...

    Isabel
"Do I love Alban?...Hah! What kind of idiotic queston is that? Both of us knew we were marrying for political convenience!"

"Have children with him? Gods no! Alban has at least three other women he sees. They can have them! Elves live way too long for me to be having a child right now anways!"
