Edgemoor
Edgemoor was founded in 5th Age, Year 95 out of necessity. King Lys Pon was petitioned by Independent Republic of the New Dwarven City to help them solve a problem they were having with building the Grand Railway of Voktegård. The Great Grove would not grant the dwarves any land outside their city, so in order to have a hub that would allow them to continue building rail line out to Isolation Point, they needed a town just over the Dalland border. Lys agreed happily, and named the first Lord Edgemoor, a dwarf named Clifer Ironworker. Today, his son, Clyver Ironworker is the current Lord Edgemoor.

Vintersowilstede
The Old Religion has eight seasonal festivals, many of which are no longer celebrated except by druids, some rangers, and of course Marite Clerics. But, two festivals have survived into popular culture: Vintersowilstede and Sommersowilstede, the communal winter and summer solstice celebrations of Sowil's light. Over the last 105 years Edgemoor's Vintersowilstede festival has gained a reputation as the most beautiful and cheerful in all of Voktegård. Now each year on the eve of Vintersowilstede, thousands of people flock to the town to partake of holiday feast foods, music, dancing, tale-telling, and of course, drinking until the dawn when Sowil finally rises again, triumphant over his long battle with the Darkness of night. The festival has grown so large that it essentially sustains the town's economy for the entire year, even with the Grand Guesthouse of the Second Accord offering free lodging for the next day's hangover (subsidized by the personal coffers of Edgemoor Manor).
