Basic Information
Ecology and Habitats
Camalia are able to survive a wide range of temperatures without any additional shelter needed. They are most prevalent around The Great Expanse as they have been domesticated heavily there however it is still possible to find wild heards out in the Expanse.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Camalia are able to go long periods of time without water or food, even as long as two weeks, although they become ornery and less able to carry a load the longer they go without nutrients. It's preferred food is the Agave plant but if this is unavailable it will eat nearly any green vegetation. Camalia are also extremely resistant to waterborne disease and as such can drink from even the most heavily contaminated water sources.

Social Structure
When left on their own Camalia will form large family based herds and will occasionally seek out other groups to breed seemingly to prevent stagnation of their gene pool. It is still unknown if this is a conscious decision of the animal or just instinct.
Domestication
Camalia are domesticated as beast of burden in the The Great Expanse and the surrounding areas due to their high tolerance of the extreme climate of the region.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
Althoug the Camalia have been domesticated for the purposes of riding and carrying loads across The Great Expanse, some argue that the animals high level of intelligence make such uses morally questionable.
Average Intelligence
Camalia appear to have above average intelligence when compared to other beasts of burden throughout Voglagon.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Camalia have a second eyelid that the are able to close over their eyes to prevent eye damage during sand storms but still allow sight. They also have innate ability to see through large clouds of sand during sandstorms, although this ability is not very well understood at this time.
