The refugee North Americans found themselves struggling to gain a foothold in Vodovo Viola, thanks to arriving many years after the Federation was formally established.  The only suitable worlds unclaimed were out towards the fringe of the galaxy.  Settling upon a warm world spinward of Tyberon Relay Station, which they named Bullhead.  The artisans and gunsmiths among their number quickly set to work earning their stay in galactic civilization.  Establishing the company Homestead, they quickly found their niche in the market by modernizing older styles of weapon systems, such as the 6-shooter revolver.
