Overview

Like many resources in the vnou world, nuclear power is another thing the nobility have a monopoly over. This has been exclusively developed and overseen by Pra'Haje, and while the vast majority of the world functions on the power grid established and maintained by them, the nobility are tenuously aware that they are beholden to Haje when it concerns the power of their empires. There is a very tiny overlap with Sid'Dievdhash and Zhu'Thlach as those families handle the older generation of power consumption and generation, primarily through the use of fossil fuels.

This has both endeared Haje to the world at large for the energy advancement and put them in a tenuous place where so many rely on them. The Nobility are not entirely energy dependent on Haje but nearly the entire common vnou populace is. Nearly every major city is invariably connected to a Haje power grid and supplied by one of their power plants.

Locations

Nearly every power plant is in the Haje controlled Republic of Karsla. Kroberied Plant is dedicated to the Sakilatian Empire and the Protectorate of Senbach, Geibe Plant has been reserved for the Duchy of Marmino, Vikimar, Porteria, and Chevria. Birtalrech Port Plant supplies power to Gelemnian Empire, Tory, and Kalininlym while Okroln has been reserved for Knaia, Suveresk, and Zhelekavkaz.

Distribution & Network

Providing power to the planet and establishing the power grid was no small feat and, while Haje has maintained control and ownership of their plants and the research required to construct and operate them, they are in a fair amount of debt to various families for the material cost of said construction. Haje is a family notorious for their research and scientific advancements, but they’ve never been too hospitable when it comes to dealing with the other Nobles. Thus a portion of the power produced is considered a tithe to the various lands the power grid runs through as compensation for the land usage.

Maintenance on the network is largely outsourced since it has more to do with the upkeep of cabling and pipes then it has to do with the operation of the Plant. This is usually done through common vnou companies managed by the various lands the power runs through.

Training

Haje is as protective about their intellectual property as they are the training for it. Half of it is in coded language to make it even more difficult for the uneducated to understand. It is exclusive to the family and everyone that works at the Plant is thoroughly vetted by their high Shra.

Foreign Relations

The tenuous relationship that Haje has created between so much of the nobility is not usually in a positive light. Much of the nobility see Haje as a necessary annoyance and limit their influence in their land heavily – happy to let Haje rule Karsla if it means keeping the uptight scientists out of their own. The deals and contracts made with Haje tend to be long, extremely specific, and often restrict their access as much as Haje has cut off access to their research and information. They’re considered the noise everyone has to listen to but no one wants to deal with.
