Corrabac

The Corrabac is a coral beast that lurks in the shallow waters of colourful reefs and edges of populated beaches in hopes of finding not only food, but treasures. This underwater crustacean has a bad temper but has an affinity to reflective fish.
Sure, I've seen them. Watched one take out a fishing boat with half a dozen crew. They didn't see it coming. Blended in with the reef. Snatched them up in a matter of minutes, worse of all they're catch of the day was lost too...

Appearance:

Its rounded hard shell covers its squishy inners and often has forms of coral and seaweed growing on its rough textured back. Swimming around with the help of its five appendages that propel it forward as well as bear its own weight when on land. A single white pupil pokes out from the shell to allow it to see in both dark and wet environments. Rows of teeth poke out of its slightly softer under belly to paralyse its prey so it can absorb its nutrients in its own time. Those who have seen the creature say its about 6ft wide and 12ft tall when standing on land. A vicious monster many adventurer try to avoid.

Behaviour:

The natural habitat of the Corrabac is one that is dense with underwater foliage. Making coral reefs, seaweed forests and swamps the perfect home for these crustaceans. It doesn't like to be out in the open and will often be as quick as it can when hunting for food. They seem to have a short temper and will be offensive towards other creatures, if you get in its way it will bully you into submission. If it thinks you are worth eating, it will not hesitate to paralyse you and drag you back to its lair and drain you of your blood.   When it is not hunting, it likes to watch the world go by with its singular eye. Taking particular notice of reflective materials such as gold. Hunters believe this is so that they can build up their home and give them camouflage when they are sleeping. despite being aggressive creatures, they have a soft spot for the Lu-Ma fish and will often lure them back to their homes and keep them as pets. Protecting the small fish from Gillan and fisherman who wish to use their scales for selfish purposes.
The sight of a Corrabac can lead to panic amongst the public which is why they must be dealt with swiftness and efficiently. Once the shell is cracked the task of killing one is a simple as walking.
