Grekth

Grekth is a god of the Atovist Pantheon who died during the Creationist Cataclysm. In Atovism, she is the aspect of Lust and the judge of covetous greed, although Renewist Atovists have later amended this to all acts of greed. The location of her body is unknown.

Worship

Grekth is the most controversial god of the pantheon with the greatest difference in worship between the different denominations of Atovism.

Orthodox

Orthodox Atovists Atovists view her as the patron of sailors, explorers, and inventors. She is believed to be the sourse of artistic passion and the lust to create and explore, rather than physical lust. This is partly due to changes enacted in the church after the Gateway Summit, which effectively banned orgies, adultry, prostitution and homosexuality for Orthodox Atovists, though these rules are seldom enforced and often outright ignored.

Renewist

Renewist Atovists fully embrace the more sexual interpretations of her aspect. She is considered the patron of prostitutes, dancers, and sailors. Renewists believe that sexual pleasure is a divine gift and temples of Grekth are known to host lavish orgies.   On the fourth of Sol, married Renewist followers of Grekth celebrate the Passing of Flesh, where entire communities enter a temple of Grekth and exchange wives and husbands for the night, often involving Chimera servants in the festivities.

Penant

The Church of Penance adopts similar views to the Renewist church, even adopting the same rhetoric about the divinity of orgasmic pleasure. However, orgies and the Passing of Flesh are not part of penant religious practice, because Penants believe only in the path of Zekklar. Penants that wish to devote themselves to Grekth undergo voluntary circumcision.   Narr, the largest concentration of Penant worshipers, outlaws prostitution.
