The A'Mi

The A'Mi are the people who occupy the United A'Mi Duchies and make up the majority of the population in each of the duchies. They represent near 100% of the population of Pale Island and Black Island, with the former being considered their ancestral homeland, the mainland duchies being regarded as colonies by some die hard A'Mi traditionalists. The A'Mi are a mystical people, relying on the sea for much of their nutrition as little grows well in their poor soil. The A'Mi practice, and are sensitive to, the art of Umbramancy, centred on the Umbramagic epicentre of the previously mentioned Black Island. Within the town of Cur'A'Mol (Blackhold) lies the Black Forge, which produces the mystical material of Shadowsteel
