Vi'Dan is a small continent, no more than 5000 km long and 1500 wide, that stretches from 20 degrees to 60 degrees in latitude. Two great 'civilizations' live in Vi'Dan, seperated by the great Trans-Vi'Dan Mountain Range.  

The North

  The north is the land of essence and magic, the arcane and the medieval. A land of dukes, kings and tribal warlords. The North relies on the Octarchy, a system of magic that keeps each ethnicity in balance with each other and with the wider universe as a whole.  

The South

  The south is the land of industry and commerce, the religious and the imperial. A land of divine empires, merchant republics and militant isolationists. The south relies on the constant march of technology to push them forward into the future.   Who knows where the future will take these two vastly different areas?   Only time will tell.
