Umbramancy

Umbramancy, or 'Shadow-Magic', is the practise of harnessing Umbramagic energy/essences to produce various distortions/illusions, including but not limited to: Making yourself invisible, Making objects invisible, Blinding your enemies, Throwing off others' sense of perception, Making an object soundless etc. Umbramancy is practised by the A'Mi people, and its epicentre is on Black Island. Because of this, Black Island is home to Black Forge, which produces Shadowsteel, a durable form of steel that has been treated with Umbramagic energy to make it harder, lighter, and more durable when made very thin.

Manifestation

Obsidian is the manifestation of Umbramagic energy, and is used as a portable power source by Umbramages abroad.
