Now, at 522 years old, Castian remains the steadfast leader of Indred, ensuring that the Coalition retains its autonomy and power in an ever-changing geopolitical landscape.

Born in 48 AEL into a Gildress Elf family of Nidiran descent, Castian Vale’s lineage traces back to the Valestri outposts established in Granheim before the High Elves were cast back into exile. Raised in Indred, he grew up immersed in maritime culture, learning both seafaring and military strategy from an early age.
Castian initially served as a naval commander under the Principality of Varyon, but as the years passed, he became disillusioned with Varyon’s heavy-handed governance over the islands. Seeing an opportunity to break free, he secretly rallied influential figures from Phantom Port and Bathur, igniting a rebellion in 257 AEL that culminated in Indred’s independence by 274 AEL.
His crowning achievement came in 279 AEL, when he negotiated the fragile alliance between the three rival factions, forming the Indred Island Coalition. Since then, he has remained Indred’s de facto ruler, his political brilliance ensuring the archipelago’s autonomy and prosperity.
