Description
- Haven Door - A small shop front situated between two larger building. From the weathered wood, it is clear that this building has been here for some time. The building looks about 12-15ft wide with one door and a display window. Above both is a much newer sign proclaiming this to be the Celestial Dragon. The display window holds a smaller sign, proclaiming “Grand Opening Sale,” but any view into the shop is blocked by a rich blue tapestry. There is also a small placard on the door that reads “Welcome, enter and be amazed.”
Interior
Entering one of the doors brings you to the Celestial Dragon, a 100ft octagonal room of white marble, with black and pink veins running throughout. Each wall holds a door and is covered by tapestries of a different color. Above the door is a large football shaped crystal, that glows with light of a matching color. The ceiling is about 10 ft high around the edges, but opens up after about 50 ft. A 5ft strip of a deep purple carpet also leads toward the center.In that center is a 50ft circle of the same deep purple carpet with a number of wooden displays and a circular counter and what appeared to be a small workroom in the middle (10ft high walls, open on top. Around the edge of the carpet where the lowered ceiling ends and the larger vaulted space beings are eight ornately carved pillars. Closer inspection reveals that each is carved to represent one of the schools of magic.
On one side of the circle, a spiral staircase with a velvet rope across leads up to what appears to be a balcony above (if any other that Aubergine tries to remove the rope or slip under the staircase is insubstantial). Looking up however, your gaze is immediately captured by the enormous skylight, some 30 ft up. Framed within the large glass window was a night sky, but it was a view of the stars unlike any seen on Vestra. The background stars all gleamed brightly in the deep black, but it was the purple and red nebula that took away one’s breath.
