The Bright Selection
The Bright Selection is the one and only jeweler's shop in Dagger Falls and has been a fixture of the town for almost a century. Originally, the store sold metal worked items for decorative purposes and the odd ring or necklace. But as the population of the town grew and trade became more prevalent, Foldrum soon found he had a budding market for passion project. Foldrum takes commission work and stocks many pieces of jewelry of a more standard design. There are certain items which are very popular which he strives to keep on hand at all times. These are typically wedding bands, simple rings, earrings and necklaces with simple gemstones such as malachite, quartz or opalite.
Purpose / Function
A jeweler is all Foldrum has ever wanted to be, even when he was a young boy living back in Harrenfal. This store represents the fruition of all his life's desires and has stood in Dagger Falls for almost a century. At first, business was tough and there were many months when a loan from Kazmeat was all the kept the sconces lit. Nowadays, the storefront sees customers daily and although Foldrum makes more of coin through trade, he is always happy to take orders from the locals of Dagger Falls.
Architecture
A single story stone and wood house, with a large reinforced oak door at the front, with two large windows - reinforced with metal bars spaced about 6" apart. There is a smaller steel door at the back of the structure which leads into Foldrum's living space. The house proper is split between Foldrum's living area and the shop. The storefront is well maintained, with many display cases positioned strategically to catch the natural light entering the interior and make use the existing light from sconces on the walls and ceiling. A large counter stands at the far end of the storefront that doubles as a display for Foldrum's existing items, and a place for him to work on his latest pieces of art.
