Maltria's General Goods
The general goods storefront has been a fixture in the town for a number of decades. The Darwish family have been the proprietors of this shop, passing down ownership through generations of their family. Maltria is the 4th of the Darwish family to run the storefront.
Purpose / Function
The general goods storefront provides farming tools, fishing supplies, and items for day to day use. Buckets, barrels, sacks, soap, household cleaning supplies and even feed for some smaller livestock such as chicken feed can be purchased here.
Architecture
This is a simple tudor and wood style building with a second story. The first floor was converted into a store years ago, with the second story serving as the living space for the Darwish family. A second entrance located at the back of the building provides the family with an alternate avenue to the living area on the second level. The building is old and shows signs of wear and tear. Patched plaster and newer beams nailed into the older braces are easy to spot, and the roof has a slight bow but is otherwise in decent condition.
