Kazmeat, in a way, is like a typical dwarf. He is gruff, no nonsense, and lives to work his forge and takes a tremendous amount of pride in the work he produces. Under the surface, Kazmeat isn’t quite like his mountain dwelling kin. He feels comfortable around humans and has made many close friends during his time in Dagger Falls. Being one of the longer lived races, he has said goodbye to many of his human friends but he treasures each of those friendships deeply. Kazmeat enjoys his moments away from the forge, walking along the coast and will often take pilgrimage into the nearby mountains to gaze out from their peaks across the seas. Both Kaz and his brother have no aversion to sailing upon the open ocean. Upon their arrival to Dagger Falls over a century ago, both worked on fishing boats while saving their wages to start the businesses they own today.

Kazmeat is in great shape, his muscles honed from year of hammering away on his anvil. His hair is beginning to grey, but otherwise he's just as fit as any dwarf his age and some far younger.

Kazmeat and his brother Foldrum have a longstanding feud that neither remember the root cause of. Foldrum thinks his brother is a brutish dullard, whereas Kazmeat thinks his brother is dainty.

Gruff and stern, Kazmeat is a proud dwarf. He cares little for etiquette but is not boorish; he simply hasn't the patience to indulge those fits of fancy, as he refers to it, that the noble class engage in.
