Brothers in Arms Metal Works
One of a handful of smithies in Dagger Falls, Kazmeat Ironfist and his brother Foldrum have lived in Dagger Falls for over a century and are well known fixtures of the town. During this time, Kazmeat has earned a (well deserved) reputation as a fantastic blacksmith and armorer. With such prestige, Kazmeat is often very busy with work from the other local businesses and shipwrights, mostly fashioning nails, shoes, and devices for ships. When he does have a spare moment to fashion suits of armor, it is usually on a commission basis and never to collect dust in his storefront. Kazmeat learned a century ago that sitting metal works and the salty sea air are not a good pairing.
Purpose / Function
Upon taking up residence in Dagger Falls over a century ago, the Brothers in Arms forge has been a place for locals to purchase construction supplies, horse shoes and other farming equipment and sailing gear components. The smithy supplies metal components to other merchants within the town but these can be directly purchased from Kazmeat as well. The Brothers in Arms is also one of two places in Dagger Falls to purchase armor, although most suits of higher quality are not readily available and would need to be special ordered.
Architecture
A single story stone and wood house, with a wood awning built to hang off the side. The house proper is split between Kazmeat's living quarters and the storefront. The storefront is well maintained, with many display benches and few armor stands to showcase Kazmeat's superior works. The awning butts up again the house and is supported on two sides by a low stone wall with wooden support beams. Under the awning is where the furnace, anvil, and smithy tools are kept. Those tools consist of punches, chisels, axes, drifts, sledge hammers, and nails.
