Black Forest

Just east of the Red Desert sprouts a thick forest of leafy green trees. One need only go slightly inward before they leave the warm desert sun behind entirely, becoming enclosed in tar-like blackness seemingly generated by the thick canopy above. This is an otherworldy realm engineered by mystics long past. Welcome to the Black Forest.
The Black forest is the former home of the Dark Tribe. When they attained psionic powers through their apotheosis, they created a realm where they would remain prosperous and undisturbed for centuries to come.

Fauna & Flora

The Black Forest is home to many plants that, so far as current science can determine, exist nowhere else in the world. The trees were specially engineered by psions to block out sunlight, and the grass grasps and hinders those who dare to invade the Dark Race's domain. In addition, dormant Gargantua pods occasionally sprout, waiting for Psions to make use of them. The only creatures that make their home here these days are Echoes, though there are historical records and fossil evidence to support that many species lived here before the events of the War of Dark and Light.
