Psionics

Psionics is a word to describe metaphysical abilities that have been unlocked through study and meditation. To put it bluntly, psionics are space magic.
Psionics are an inborn potential of all intelligent creatures. However, in order to use these powers one must unlock the ability through many years of study and meditation, be born from parents who already posess the ability, or use a psionic stimulation device to activate the part of the brain that implements psionic power. A being that wields psionic abilities is referred to as a psion.
The Dark Tribe divided the techniques of Psionics into several schools, which are listed below. Any psion can learn techniques in any or all of these schools, but some choose to specialize their learning to master one or two of them.

Telepathics

Telepathics are the practice of sensing and manipulating tiny electrical signals in organic minds and computers. A telepath can sense other creatures' thoughts and manipulate electronics. Certain telepathic techniques can dampen brain function, leaving a creature vulnerable to suggestion, or amplify activity in the emotional centers of the brain, increasing fear, confidence, or depression in targets.

Telekinetics

Telekinetics are the practice of manipulating physical objects. A telekeet can lift and push objects from a distance. Skilled telekeets can crush objects and lift loads many times heavier than themselves. A telekeet is often useful for construction and engineering projects, as well as combat.

Force Projection

Force Projection is the practice of creating objects and forcefields from hard light. Force projectionists can block physical objects with hard light walls and conjure temporary weapons from thin air. Force projection is the most defensive of the psionic schools, being used both to contain threats and to shield squads of soldiers from incoming fire.

Infusion

Infusion is the practice of manipulating or repairing biological matter with psionic energy. Infusionists can genetically alter organisms or temporarily enhance an organism's physical abilities, including strength, speed, and regeneration. Energy-Bending

Energy-Bending is the practice of manipulating electrical or thermal energy. Energy-Benders can throw lightning bolts, set things on fire, or draw energy away from a point to cool it down to freezing temperatures. The school of energy-bending includes the most terrifying forces that a psion can unleash upon the battlefield.

Manifestation

Especially powerful psionic wielders have glowing eyes that partially or completely conceal their pupils. When a psion uses their powers manipulated objects or areas have a faint glowing aura. A quirk in the way that the brain processes psionic commands makes the aura take a different color for each psion. It is often thought that no two psion's colors are exactly the same, like a fingerprint.
