Morning
Owen went to Nathan’s house and asked Nathan what he knew about the events of the previous day. He replied that Mari had been upset so she did not tell him much. Owen relayed that Tybalt had been affected by the Portal’s closure due to actually being Kenbrick. As the oldest member of VKTR, it affected him the most, and he passed away. Owen continued to tell Nathan about the previous day. This included that Donovan, the Keysmith, had returned and was seeking revenge against the other members of VKTR. Nathan sobered quickly and stated that they needed to prevent Donovan from enacting his plans.
The Beer Forge
Everyone began to arrive and greeted each other. Seldanna and Rosie spent a few awkward moments dancing around not talking to each other. Nathan arrived and saw Seldanna. He was sad, angry, and happy to see her. Juveha scolded him for some of the things he said, but Seldanna stood up for him. Owen asked Ivy for a round to toast Tybalt, and the gang raised a glass in his memory. They discussed what to do with the day, and decided to go to Arlund’s and then the Library.
Arlund’s Alchemical Oddities
It was Pip’s first time in the magical store, and he was not impressed at first. A discussion between the party and Arlund ensued, regarding the Sub Rosarium’s views on magic items. Owen asked about the items needed to craft something out of the unicorn horn, and Arlund gave him a list. Seldanna purchased a holy symbol to Bahl, while the others just looked around. The group left to go to the Library next.
The Library
A wave of gentle force pulsed out of the Library as the group arrived and opened the door. Inside, the librarians told them that this had happened before when Ash had a story to tell. Pip got excited and set up his puppets to perform alongside Ash. The story Ash told them related to the Champion and his allies. The same Champion that he had mentioned several other times already. This time, the Champion and his allies were fighting the darkness and its tendrils. As the story unfolded, it dawned on the party that the Champion Ash spoke of was actually Owen.
