The Green Flask
The Green Flask is a large, three-storey inn, located in the Old Town district of Laranna, near to the main gatehouse into the district.
It is seen as something of an Larannan institution; an inn having occupied the building for several centuries.
The lower floor of the inn in composed of a large public room, with a long bar along the back wall. Food and drinks are served, and the bar is generally busy throughout the day and most of the evening.
The upper two floors of the inn contain rooms for weary travellers to rent, at a reasonable price.
Architecture
The building is timber-framed, with wooden walls on the upper two floors, and stone walls on the lower floor, in what could be described as a Tudor style. The wood has been varnished to a very dark shade of brown.
The building also features a stone basement, accessible through an outer hatch and by stairs leading from the ground-floor kitchen.
History
Like much of the architecture found within Laranna's Old Town district, the building housing The Green Flask has been around for a few centuries.
The Green Flask was originally one of the first structures that could be seen upon entering the city itself. Since the spread of the city outside of the original walls, it is now merely one of the first to be seen upon entering Old Town.
