Periezar
The Kingdom of Periezar lies in the northeast of Mithlerien on a mountainous peninsula surrounded by ocean on its western, northern and eastern sides. The Sufshaw Peaks run north to south almost dead center of the peninsula. At their southern tip, the fiefdom's capital city of Poheath, once counted as the greatest city on Valine, floats in four pieces above the highest peaks of the range. Now known, somewhat unimaginatively, as The Floating City, it is still a great city and, perhaps, the most technologically advanced settlement on the planet.
A rich vein of tin runs through the Sufshaw Peaks and the tin miners form an advisory council which holds most of the political power in the region. Though ruled over by Queen Elmyra Krisnan, Periezar - once a kingdom in its own right - maintains a strong independent streak and has frequently rebelled against the throne. The Queen's representative in Poheath, Gurci Walters is a half-elf/half-orc noble who keeps the peace with the advisory council by essentially giving them what they want, up to a point, allowing the individual council members to enrich themselves at the expense of their workers throughout Periezar.

The Delegate of the Mithlerien crown sits at the head of the Advisory Council, consisting of the five owners of the tin mining companies.

Technological Level
The birthplace of AOG, Poheath has become, perhaps, the greatest technological center on Valine, with technologists flocking to Poheath's Schools of Innovation.
Agriculture & Industry
The economy of Periezar is based on its tin deposits, although fishing and pastoral farming contribute sizably as well. Periezar's advanced technology, though the one area in which the Mithlerien crown keeps strict tabs on for their own benefit, is the largest growth area of the Periezene economy.

The laws of the Kingdom of Mithlerien supersede all Periezene laws and the Delegate is supposed to enforce them. In practice, however, the Advisory Council force observation of Periezene tradition upon the Delegate in return for which, the more militant voices of rebellion are quelled.
