Poheath

Poheath, known as The Floating City, is the largest city and governmental center of Periezar. In the Year of Fracture (801) a great earthquake rent the Sufshaw Peaks releasing an immense tsunami of arcane energy across thousands of miles. The epicenter, close to the city of Poheath, split the city in four parts and sent those parts high into the sky above the highest peaks of the Sufshaw Peaks, where it has levitated ever since, the four broken parts linked by a series of suspension bridges.   The city was rebuilt and many of the engineers and magic users that came to the city to work in in the reconstruction decided to stay. Schools of Innovation were founded in the city and it became a hub of magical and technological advancement, eventually becoming, perhaps, the most technologically advanced city on Valine - it's most notable innovation being AOGs, which became recognized as the first artificially created sentient species on Valine.   It is also the seat of government for Periezar, where the Delegate assigned by Queen Elmyra Krisnan, Second of Her Name administers the region on behalf of the crown of Mithlerien.   The city is also known as a haven for Kenku, who view the elevation of the city as being a measure closer to the flight they crave.
