Basic Information

Anatomy

Silkfeather Parrots have many different colors of feathers. Their feathers can come in many different colors that seem to be random each time. Male Silkfeather Parrots have a large crest on their head which is used to judge their rank among other males. Ones that have larger head crests normally tend to be the dominant male.

Genetics and Reproduction

Female Silkfeather Parrots Judge multiple males at a time and then mates with the one that has the most appealing head crest. The female judges the head crests based on personal favorite color and size.

Growth Rate & Stages

When baby Silkfeather Parrots hatch from their eggs, they are cared for and brought food by their parents. They only leave the nest when they learn to fly which can be anywhere between 2 weeks and 1 month.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Silkfeather Parrots eat any kinds of seeds or berries, and even sometimes small bugs and nuts. When they find something too hard for them to eat, they will take a small stone and smash it until it is soft and mushy.
