Aasimar (Ass - im - aar)

Aasimar are mostly human, but have a celestial being of some form far, far back in their ancestry, the effects of which continue to this day. Aasimar are capable of summoning wings which give them flight for a limited amount of time, though it is tiring, and are resistant to radiant damage. When angered or otherwise highly emotional, a glimmer of gold can be seen in the eyes of an Aasimar: the only real way to tell one from a human unless they are in flight.
Aasimar have average lifespans at the extreme end of human possibilities, around 110 or so, and likewise grow extremely tall, but not beyond the possibility of humans.
