Personal history

Born into poverty, Kirshava helped raise her younger siblings. Being the eldest, she took on many roles and jobs to support her weak and sick family. Eventually, her work was not enough and she resorted to auxiliary means. She forbade her siblings from helping her, and turned to her formidable size to acquire more.   Her mother died just before her 20th birthday and with that she knew she needed to apply her talents as a warrior. She joined up with a fighting guild and quickly rose through the ranks, gaining the attention of her trainers. The following year her trainers selected her to go to the new Gold Lord as a candidate to be his Consort. This new Lord was nothing special and she knew his heart was that of a rabbit. She displayed her courage and power and guile. This impressed the Lord and he chose her.   While his Consort, she fulfilled her duties to protect and become his general for his army. Kirshava never conceived a child, being too far in the fields of battle, conquering lands and bringing them into the Lord's control. These she devoted to the Lord but also to Bane, her true love and deity. Within every town, every village she conquered she erected temples and churches to Pelor, Kord, Corellon, and others but also behind every statue and icon was one of Bane.   Kirshava overshadowed her Lord and took up his responsibilities. Many saw this as love and beautiful, but it was Kirshava's old habits of control chipping away at her mind. She ruled the land with an open iron fist, ready to bring down the hammer of justice — often personally. The country had never been as prosperous, but a blot on the population's conscience festered into fear.   The last decade of her life, Kirshava took the armies and conquered Silverden on the Silvercoast and many parts of Paluchia. "Law and order" town criers proclaimed, reading the latest statements from the Gold Palace. Uprisings erupted but were quashed. In her final months her mind left her, replaced with a single-focus on bringing every orc, goblin, and mercenary into the kingdom to keep law, and to conquer cities that already belonged to her. She died, old but strong, in the River Alush, trying to swim across after floodwaters carried the bridge away.

Accomplishments & Achievements

  • Uniting of the Gold Coast and its surrounding regions.
  • Captured southwestern parts of Caphitolia and assimilated them.
  • Built over 200 temples, shrines, and churches to many deities in the conquered cities.
  • Built Gold Coast to be the strongest it ever was.
  • Became a role model for Consorts, forming a post-mortem cult of personality.

Failures & Embarrassments

Kirshava covered up almost all blunders during her reign. The few that do remain are anecdotal.   A few describe her as being completely inept at the sciences or mathematics. Kirshava would get frustrated at riddles and look for any reason to bring her axe or spear down upon the riddle-asker. This led to unfortunate situations when she insisted on dealing with creatures such as sphynxes. She would fumble over the answer and draw her sword to fight, which the sphynxes politely declined and disappeared before they could be smote.   Another story describes her antagonizing and subjugating a small farming village after they could not agree to her unreasonable quota. She had these Gold Coast citizens sold off into slavery. She then declared the village a quashed rebellion.   Stories like these abound, and diviners can confirm many of them occurring.

Mental Trauma

It is well known that Kirshava struggled with a strong internal anxiety. The fear of her family being harmed turned her love into a prison where she kept them in her palace for their lives. The death of her mother was particularly difficult for her. She never processed the emotions and would become enraged at the mention of her name, hence her laws against anyone being named "Kishvama" (Even now the name is not used in the society).

Intellectual Characteristics

While she possessed a whip-like intellect for all things "war" the intelligence never carried over other studies. She grew furious at solving riddles, word problems, or much else incorrectly, and never wished to change her ways.

Morality & Philosophy

Kirshava believed that power was the cornerstone of justice. She saw the injustice done to her and her family and wished it to change. She had a very hands-on approach to fixing problems and with enough might she could fix just about any issue that came to her. This philosophy of power did not stop as she became more than capable and leader of the country, which led to the draconian laws she implemented for "everyone's safety."

Taboos

She took great offense at her mother's mention. Kirshava also took offense at anyone who asked if she would bear the Lord's children.

Personality Characteristics

Dreamt of safety for her family and always thought they were in some danger. She believed she could protect them all and believed it was all out of love, even when she stood in her knee-deep blood pools after conquering towns hundreds of miles away.
