Physical Description
General Physical Condition
They have a few healed scars and wound spots, but other than that they look perfectly healthy.
Body Features
Nothing about his body is super unique besides his draconic features (being his inhumanly bright eyes, his naturally blue hair and his back spines). Other than that, he is just a skinny, scrawny being.
Facial Features
They have a heart shaped face, decently defined jawline, healthy hair line, no fine lines or wrinkles, and his ears are slightly further back than a usual human (given the draconic blood). He has several piercings - his right brow, his bridge, and the right side of his nose as well as three piercings on each ear lobe and an industrial on his left side.
Identifying Characteristics
The main reason you can tell they have a dragon in their family is because of the spines that run down Halcyon’s back. They don’t stick out too far to the point that it is obnoxious for him, but they are prominent enough that all his adventuring gear and clothes have had to be altered a little bit to make sure he’s comfy.
Physical quirks
They have some scars on their body from magical experiments gone wrong, some on their hands and forearms, one on their right shoulder, one on their left calf and one on each foot.
Apparel & Accessories
Black dyed linen and denim are his FAVORITE things. Most of his wardrobe consists of clothes made of those materials. He has two blue dress shirts and a couple crop tops for when he’s feeling spicy. His usual boots are black leather boots that have hand placed studs (he put the studs on there) and he has a brown pair for special occasions. The jewelry he wears is silver (he wears a few simple rings on each hand, wears one of his mother’s old silver chains, and all his ear/face jewelry is silver).

Personal history
Halcyon was always a shyer kid. He was scrawny the whole time he was growing up and thus didn’t really do too well in physical altercations. So, he did what any creature would do - he learned to adapt. Around mid-middle school, he started absorbing every piece of information he could get his hands on so he could best anyone in a battle of wits. In high school, he started dressing in a more intimidating manner (usually in some form of all black with leather boots) so people would be too afraid to approach him. He also acquired many piercings because he found that pain can be fun if you are the one controlling when it happens. Family issues are complicated for them because their mother has been gone for a while (dead or alive - who knows?), and their dad has never taken it well and Halcyon has no real escape from that outside of school. He is a level-headed person most of the time, but if you push the right button and make him mad or lose his trust, you will get a VERY strong and maybe surprising reaction out of him.

Gender is fake :) Halcyon sometimes aligns with the AMAB body he was born into, sometimes they don’t. They dress pretty gender neutral anyway and the piercings usually deter people from thinking he is a “stereotypical man”.

Fluid - he’s never put a label on it, but he is attracted more to personality/appearance rather than gender identity.

Not being able to save his mother when she was taken; accidentally burning someone to a crisp in a fight.
Mental Trauma
Halcyon carries a lot of weight regarding his mother’s disappearance because it happened while he watched. He tried to save her, but couldn’t and that has stayed with him since it happened. They were also bullied a good bit when they were younger because of how scrawny they were and the fact that their draconic features presented at a time in his life when other kids didn’t know what to make of it. He also had to take up a lot of household things his father stopped doing once his mother disappeared. He’s always been a bit of a people pleaser (on his semester grade report, all his teachers wrote “a pleasure to have in class”) and the emphasis on how different he was gave him a small individuality complex that comes out every now and then.
Intellectual Characteristics
This boy is so fucking smart. He has read MANY, many books and has internalized a lot of knowledge from those books. Chances are, if you have a question about something, he either knows the answer or remembers the book he found it in. He is usually a quick thinker and can be good on his feet. Most of the time, he thinks before he acts, but sometimes that isn’t true (like it is for most mortals).
Morality & Philosophy
Halcyon has had a few brushes with death before simply because of where he has grown up. Because of that, while he does value his life, he also isn’t afraid of death. He’s morally light grey (with a dash of true grey every now and then) and he doesn’t mind causing a little trouble for the fun of it. As far as philosophy goes, they have always operated under the philosophy of “fuck around and find out.” They also are a big proponent of treating others how he wishes to be treated. He is very much like a bear - he will not be violent unless provoked. They are also incredibly loyal - once you earn his trust, he has your back until you do something to lose it.

Most of what he does is in honor of his mother and his draconic bloodline. Anything that doesn’t fall under that category is to prove to himself that he is a good person and deserving of love and respect.

He isn’t the best melee fighter and can’t really wield big weapons that well.

He loves learning and the opportunity to learn something new. He likes helping others (so long as it also serves him in some way) and being there for other people. He’s got a bit of a sweet tooth and is a sucker for a home cooked meal.
Virtues & Personality perks
He is a fierce ally and a good person to have in your corner in a debate or a fight. Mercifully (mostly) he knows when to keep his mouth shut and will get to know you well enough that he can tell what you need before you ask for it. They can usually tell when they are outmatched, but sometimes choose to fight anyway because a little roughing up never hurt anyone.
Vices & Personality flaws
He can’t always tell when he’s being goaded along, so he can take some things personally that likely didn’t need to be taken that way. A vice of his can be alcohol if he is in a bad place and feels like nothing else could calm him down.
Personality Quirks
He would never tell a soul this, but there is a sensitive spot on the back of his neck right above where his spines start that if pressed makes him shiver and tense (people have told him that reaction is funny - he doesn’t think so). He’ll also sometimes randomly crane his neck to the side if uncomfortable.

Keeps good care of his appearance and maintains it when possible. Not overly coiffed but enough for other people to see that he gives a shit about what he looks like.

Social Aptitude
He can hold himself well in almost every situation. There are a few instances in which sarcasm has gone over his head, but other than that he’s fine socially.
Mannerisms
You can tell if he’s a little nervous because he’ll start drawing shapes on the palm of his hand. He picks at the skin around his nails if his anxiety is really bad. In place of saying the name of any specific god, he says “god” or “gods” when appropriate. They also will make little noises (i.e breathing out really fast through their nose, giving a flat little “hah”, a mhm or mm here in there) in response to something if he feels words are insufficient.
Hobbies & Pets
They have no pets. As far as hobbies go, they love to read, mess around in the kitchen, explore new places in the area surrounding home, and practicing magic in the hopes he can be a better sorcerer.
Speech
His speech is pretty standard for what a 20 year old person will speak like. The amount of books he’s read lead him to be a little more eloquent than most. There are some pop culture references here and there, his inflection on his speech matches the rise and fall of his syntax, and his voice gets a little higher when flustered or nervous (but he usually tries to keep a lid on that when he needs to). Halcyon has only fully yelled at someone once, and that was at Loki about attempting to capture and torture a wyvern. It takes a lot for them to truly yell and scream at someone.

Enough to keep him not starving and give him the basics of what he needs. He has some saved up from various jobs he’s done but all his life he’s had just enough to not worry about getting by.
