Personal history
Drifter is an enigmatic fiend born in The Nine Hells (specifically the seventh layer, known as Maladomini) quite some time before the Genesis of Uthilith. For several centuries, he took up residence in a ruined city deep within one of Maladomini's many abandoned settlements, before he grew bored of the stodgy disposition held by devils. He was able to trick one of Lilith's most powerful underlings into granting him a Gate Cube - of which only six exist within the Multiverse - and flee Maladomini for an odd realm of chaos known as the Feywild. It was there he met Loki for the first time, beginning what would be one of the strangest of camaraderies ever seen in reality.
He got bored of the cheerily malevolent moods of the fey, the infinite chaos of Pandemonium, and even the gratuitous nature of some of the Abyss's most off-putting layers! Thus, when Drifter heard of Loki's imprisonment in The Velvet Room, he had a flash of excitement for the first time in centuries. An amnesiatic friend, especially one of that sort of volatility? How fun!
After the Killjoys spent over a month in the Astral Sea, Drifter decided to mess with the party for leaving him alone and bored. He thus stole Loki's Coin of the Abjured Soul and lured the party out for a confrontation with both himself and Halcyon Thýella's mortal enemy Rūgštis, a black dragon who had since fallen under Drifter's control. After Rūgštis was handily defeated and Drifter was brought to the point of near-death, Drifter plane shifted away, leaving behind a letter and Loki's coin in his wake. It's unknown to what plane he shifted to, but it's fairly easy to surmise he ended up somewhere similar to Pandemonium.

Gender Identity
Drifter gives little care to the gender spectrum presented by colonial Temporans and imposed on much of Uthilith society. Gender means nothing when you're this hot.
Sexuality
Drifter will flirt with anything that moves, with the exception of Loki and Jack Frost. However, as someone who grew up in the Nine Hells, he's exceedingly picky about who he chooses as a sexual partner. Since fiends born in the Hells tend to cognitively share major memories, he remembers a story of Levistus (archdevil of the Fifth Hell) seducing mortals into a contract and retaining their souls for all eternity.

If it bores him, he simply will not do it. Everything Drifter does or says is highly calculated and a means to an end.
