Purpose / Function

It was originally the Iacchan Peninsula's sole temple to Enaldir, constructed in 1213 by some zealots who attempted to convert people in Valenacht. This endeavor proved a dismal failure, so the acolytes used the venue as a small monastery for the next odd-400 years. 
Amidst the final Eclipse of the Marauders - a day where magic ceases functioning for but minutes - a Beholder quietly infiltrated the temple. The moment magic began to function again, it immediately razed the temple to the ground, killing every single individual who remained inside. It then began constructing its lair in the cliffside directly beneath the structure, describing it as its "Atelier".
