Serpentine's Shack

This shop is cluttered and messy with items stacked in haphazard piles. It can be difficult to tell which items are for sale and which are the personal items of the shop keeper. Much looks like it could tumble over at any moment, giving the impression that one touches things at their own risk. There are three Living Unseen Servants that work in the shop. They stock the shelves and tidy things up as best as they can.

Bargaining

Offering Anatta flattering comments regarding her appearance or attire is most likely to lead to disfavor and result in higher prices in her shop. She has a strong distain for superficial social fluff and holds little tolerance for it. Those who are direct and straight forward are more likely to earn her favor. She loves all things ugly and grotesque. Especially dolls or other depictions of people or creatures. She will buy these items at 150% their market value to add to her personal collection.

Biases

She is biased against those who are attractive. Customers who have a charisma score of 15 or higher will find her prices to be higher then usual. On the other hand, she shows favor to those that have a more gruff and unattractive appearance. Customers with a charisma score of 10 or less will be offered a discount.

Defenses

Anatta's shop is defended by Pyroc Ember, an efreet that feels loyal to her. He will die to defend her, but not the shop goods. If things become dire, he will do his best to escape with Anatta. The disorderly state of the shop is a sort of defense as well as it is rather difficult for a person to find anything in particular and if grabbing things randomly is more likely to land upon something without value.

History

Anatta Mandha was a mercenary prior to having opened her shop. This was during her angry years when she was seeking to take her rage out on others for the curse that she obliviously bargained for. But after she spent her rage, she looked for a new purpose in life. While wandering, she found that she was rather good at bartering and decided that she would be a merchant. Like every Medusa, her folly was in her vanity and in her desire to make her beauty eternal. In making this bargain, she also gained the medusa curse. Because of this, she now scorns all things beautiful.
