Aqris

The Force of Loyalty

Then came unto the world Aqris, the wife of Teldir who saw the trickery in the ocean, yea that it was great water but could provide no life from its bitter taste. And so she created the rivers, streams and lakes of the world. And unto her is the domain of consistency, loyalty and dependability for ever does water flow and bring life whithersoever it goes.

Creations 2:10

Since the fall of Maferath, none of the forces has been a companion to mortals than Aqris. Indeed almost all footholds of civilization are founded upon her creations and she keeps a watchful eye over them, ensuring that the children of Solun remain fed and never want for thirst. While she rarely appears to mortals, her presence is felt much throughout the world, and legend tells she calls to her chosen Avatars by gifting them magical weapons from the placid waters of mystical lakes hidden throughout the realm.

Divine Domains

Aqris' influence is felt throughout the known world, although her worship is most prevalent within the the cities and other population centers in the world. As most settlements are established on the banks of rivers and lakes, it is common practice that before a settlements first foundation is placed the entire region is consecrated to Aqris in the hopes that her creations will be as steadfast as she is in ensuring the settlement's success. Notable exceptions to this ritual of course would be port cities placed upon the coasts.

Many of the aspects of city life are affiliated with Aqris, indeed one could say she is as much the Force of Cities as much as the Force of Loyalty. Education falls deeply within her influence and most Universities throughout the realm are dedicated to her before students are admitted, and often times universities will have chapels dedicating to worshiping her on their campus. Likewise architecture is strongly affiliated with her, as well as wisdom and justice. Many politicians will seek her guidance before beginning their reign.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Aqris' symbol is that of a single, pure raindrop.

Tenets of Faith

Worshipers of Aqris most often honor her by going about their daily lives contributing to society in positive and effective means. Prayer sessions are held in her name at chapels and temples dedicated to her in early mornings before the workday, and for those who miss the morning gatherings another is held ad midday before citizens return to work from their midday meals.

Aqris' sigil is a common sight in cities, often being incorporated into city architecture and even the heraldry of particularly devout institutions. Of all the worshipers of the Forces, worshipers of Aqris are the most subtle, often carrying out their rites and devotions in the privacy of their own homes or quietly on the shores or banks of the nearest body of fresh water.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

As much of her influence is directly tied to the cities of the world, Aqris's goals and desires focus mainly around the cities of mortals in establishing them, growing them and protecting them. She is an ardent supporter of city guardsmen, and indeed all those who work to protect and improve a cities tenants from evils both withing and without the city's walls.

Aqris seeks more than just mere protection and growth for the cities which fall within her influence, she seeks the greatest level of progress for them. She constantly encourages city rulers and magistrates to find new and imaginative innovations to improve the lives of those who dwell in civilized regions. She encourages advancements in philosophy and science, and many of the world's greatest scholars claim her as their primary benefactor. As stated above, she is particularly supportive of town guards and civil servants, and is most please by offerings of architecture as it often serves to further industry and municipal progression, but she is not ashamed of other honest efforts and offerings to improve life within a city's walls.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Aqris has often taken the appearance of a water spirit, looking vaguely similar to an elf composed entirely out of water. She has long watery hair, flowing as i she was underwater. When she decides to leave her creation her appearance doesn't change, she simply takes the form of a mortal with pale skin and flowing blue hair.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Aqris adores mortality much like we adore cute pets. While she may not see us as equals or anything more than animals however, she does her best to care for the Children of Solun and provide/care for them when needed. She, almost more than any of the Forces, interacts with mortals the most.

Social

Social Aptitude

Being one of the youngest of the Forces, Aqris acts almost childlike. She often is depicted as being young, energetic and aloof. She's also kind of playful with mortals when she interacts with them, in an almost condescending way that she simply just doesn't intend.
