Journal Entry 32.01 Aja's Swan Song

She spent the next month setting up her new estate, making sure the winery was fully operational, before once again heading out to track Attaunia down. It took two more attempts before she finally succeeded in capturing the halfling.   She kept in regular contact with Kinsi and through that, she inquired about wands and what exactly had happened. Kinsi told her that the wands were a gift from Letheria, but they were only going to be given to Si’Nassa or Azurellicus. Both parties were supposed to show up, though at the time, neither party was aware of how the exchange was to happen or that the other side was involved. Si’Nassa had her suspicions that it might be a double-cross, so she arranged for her best warriors to be present.   In exchange for the wands, Si’Nassa had agreed to allow temples to be opened publically for both Letheria and Ramian Fax.   It was probable that it was Letheria who had arranged for Majalacturis to learn of the presence of the wands. She had laid the trap. Whether it was intended to kill Majalacturis or just intended to give one of the three parties a clear advantage was unknown. As a goddess of devious scheming, probably all outcomes gave her some advantage.   Upon further discussions, Kinsi did reveal that they still didn’t know if the wands were real. It was the threat of the wands which had caused Azurellicus to cease his plans to encroach upon Si’Nassa’s territory. With him backing off, the regular appearance of the Harbinger children also stopped as it was his presence causing the disturbance.   At the same time, the threat worked in the other direction. The vile orc pirates from the eastern stretches of First Dawn Lake settled down. Raxemores was the one who had been stirring them up. Whether it was the threat of wands or something else, he seemed to no longer be interested in marching the orc armies on Chrailis. Kinsi admitted there was also the possibility he had been in league with either Majalacturis or Azurellicus, working on their behalf. With Majalacturis dead and Azurellicus no longer encroaching on Chrailis, Raxemores had likely moved on to other endeavors.   About a year later, Dame Imokan returned to Chrailis for a visit. She invited Aja to return to Crynthia with her, however, Aja remembered the forwarning of her dreams about being enslaved in the distant city. From that, she politely declined. Dame Imokan nodded in understanding. Dame Imokan also let drop that she was now reunited with her husband whom she thought had died centuries ago, and as such, would not be returning to Chrailis except to visit.   Three years later, Aja deeded the winery and estate over to Urik. The next week, she disappeared. Where she went was unknown, but it was believed she had left for the Winter Courts to formally take up her position for her queen. Years later, some rumors made it back to Chrailis that she had even ascended to the throne herself, but sometimes rumors are nothing more than fanciful thinking.
