Vetsco Dane Scutto

The Vetsco Dane Scutto is one of the earliest examples of magical items created by the elves and is said to be the most power staff at healing. Of course, an artifact of that nature was lost during the Miylian Elder Dragon War several ages ago.

Much of what is known about this ancient staff comes from the legends surrounding it but many scholars are sure that the staff had some religious ties in addition to being one of the most power staffs ever created.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The magic within the staff can cleanse a dark aligned caster but instead of their alignment going back to neutral, the caster will be light aligned instead. This is handing if a battle mage needs to quickly take on a supportive role in the time of war to aid healers in keeping as many people alive as possible. In addition to this, it also said that Vetsco Dane Scutto can give the caster using it the ability to heal thousands of people at a time and even bring the souls of the recently dead back to their bodies. There is, of course, no way to tell if that is true or just another exaggeration tacked onto Vetsco Dane Scutto by the people who have been trying to find it.

Manufacturing process

It is believed that the branch was magical removed from the tree and was then enchanted.

Significance

It has been gathering through the depictions of Vetsco Dane Scutto that it was used in religious rituals to purify the magical energies of the people so that the elves were closely aligned to the light. This could explain why elves are better at shielding and healing magics over dark aligned spells because all elves can trace their descent to the Miylian Elders.
