Magical Tent
Miyla as a magical world does have a few normal tents but there aren't many because of the popularity of the magical tents. These tents are nice because they use Alteration enchantments inside of the tent making it so that people who are born without magic or are Ungifted can use them just as well as a Caster. They are also easy to set up only requiring pitching and are more comfortable than normal tents and campers because of the furniture such as cots, seating, tables, and other such items that are already magically inside of the tent. The traveler can also place their furnishings inside the tent making them customizable and personal. This makes tents most travelers home away from home.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Once the tent is pitched the furnishings within will already be set up making it ready to use without needing to do more setup. The pitched tent can have cots or beds within. Some can have one room or multiple depending on how big or expensive the tent is to serve as bedrooms for each traveler can rest and have some privacy. In larger tents that allow for multiple rooms, it is common for the residents of the tent to decorate their rooms differentially and alter their section of the tent to make it different but well suited to the travel that rests there.
How big the tent will be will depend on the size that is bought so it is possible to have a tent house that doesn't look like one on the outside. Some can even appear invisible, which various militaries use to hide most of their camps. Like most tents, the magical variety will be weatherproof making it so that the rain, snow, and wind cannot get into the tent. This is done with magical enchantments that are on tents. In addition to weatherproofing these tents have Wards woven in that protects against supernatural threats and intruders. When it is time to break camp the tents are easy to break down and can be folded into a small rectangle with the stakes rolled into it.
Inside the tent, the climate will be controlled by Alteration magic which will make the tent warm if it is cold outside or cool if its hot outside. The tent will adjust the temperature accordingly without any magical input from the campers making it perfect for Ungifted people to use these tents still. As for the lighting within the tents, it often allows natural light from the outside to influence the lighting within. The light is often soothing and comforting within regardless of whether the source is looking like light is coming in from the outside or the lamps within. At night the lamps will glow brighter if the campers are still awake and will fade down to a soft glow as they whine down for bed.
One of the amenities that most of the tents have is storage and a kitchen complete with stoves and cabinets. Some Casters will keep other such things inside of the tent such as an Enchanter or things used for Alchemy such as an Alchemy Kit and things to store ingredients. Other craftsmen and artist can also store their tools inside of the tent to be used on the trip. In short, that means a separate camp kitchen and a cooler are not necessary for a trip with a magical tent. In those cases, the tent might be set up somewhere nearby to be used as a study or workspace that can be easily moved and as the bonus of storing supplies without taking that much space. For traveling Monks these tents can be a sanctuary designed to help them center themselves within a safe tranquil environment. These environments are often perfect for meditation and relaxation with soothing soundscapes and increases.
Other magical properties of the tent are that the campers with magical abilities can use their Alteration spells to customize the tents they have bought and own. Guides will not allow magical clients to change the tents so they can uphold the various pay walls for better tents. They can customize the colors, patterns, and even the architectural style, to suit their tastes. The only thing they can't change is the logo of the company that made the tent. Some of the most popular tents have Restoration magic woven into them that helps people within sleep restfully and aid in recovering from minor injuries and illnesses.
All of the tents use the Pocket Dimension Spell which makes them bigger on the inside than how they appear on the outside. This provides all of the tents with varying levels of storage capacity and a few even have hidden rooms within them. Mercenaries that are employed as bounty hunters will use hidden rooms to keep their quarries imprisoned until getting them to their employer. There are a few magical tents that serve as bridges between two different places like Miyla and Ell Brich where the tent is in both places. These tents can be used to travel between two different places quickly and be broken down on either side and will be completely broken down in both places.
Manufacturing process
The enchanting process of the materials starts by embedding Alteration magic to allow the inside of the tent to be bigger on the inside as opposed to the outside. The spell that is used to make this effect is called Pocket Dimension and is a spell that is believed to have made by Osara the Goddess of Invention. Then the Artificer will use Restoration magic to place Warding enchantments on the tent and other effects.
Significance
The purpose of the tent is to be a home away from home while traveling and magical tents provide some or in some more expensive cases all of the comforts of home. The enchantments placed on these tents are versatile and limited to the needs and imagination of their owners. This has added to the popularity of these tents as they are perfectly suited for the needs and desires of travelers making their travels more magical and comfortable for the right price.
