Growth Rate & Stages

Brass-Heads are categorised into several growth stages.  
Prawns
Newly born babies, not quite able to turn anything to stone for the first few months. Their mothers are extremely protective for this period until this maternal instinct drops off rapidly once they start working.   Basilisk prawns are extremely sought after by any predators brave enough to try and take them, including many people.
Welps
Young, but old enough to a be threat to even an adult human. They are fully able to induce Lithic Rot in most types of flesh.
Kuzin
The name given to most juvenile basilisks. Brass-head Kuzins are extremely dangerous even compared to the rest of their peers. Fully able to rot flesh into stone in a matter of seconds, they are not   It is at this point where they first start to...

Thallark
The Glassy Although baslisks in general are usually able to live to an extraordinary age; There still comes a time when the march of time starts to take its toll on them. After a certain point, a Basilisk will lose its vision, along with its abilities of petrification. These old creatures will spend their final days munching on statues from bygone days until either their larders run dry or the last of their hearts finally gives out.
