Duchy

A duchy is a territory that is part of the Kingdom of Herske, and is overseen by a Hertog who is appointed by the King. These duchies are quite vast in their area, and compared to something like the Amter of Azendale are sparsely populated.

Lystehvit is not considered a duchy as it is under the direct control of the Monarch which exempts significant parts of the territory from certain rules regarding those living in the duchies.
