The Cantina Tribe

The Cantina Tribe was found in the northwestern corner of the Wastelands. They are a mysterious group that does not interact with the other inhabitants of Turien. Most Turiens do not even know they exist. Occasionally, a Dragon-kin may fly above them, but generally, they are hidden even then, blending into the ground.   One time, a couple of the people in the Tribe were seen by a Dragon-kin. The Dragon-kin reported to the Council of Turien their sighting of a few strangers in the Wastelands, then promptly forgot about their existence. The Council has since kept the information hidden from the rest of Turien. At least until they are able to figure out who the two strangers were.   Over the years, the vitality and evasiveness of the Cantina Tribe have shocked and impressed the Council. At first, the Council did not believe anyone could live in such an inhospitable area. However, whenever the Council had a relative break from work, they would send someone to find the bodies of those strangers. The bodies were not found. But small pieces of evidence and occasional sightings on the horizon were found. Eventually, an opening to an underground cavern was found. It was just the opening though, as beyond that was a large pile of rubble. A brownish-red piece of fabric was sticking out through the rubble with a small crest (ripped in half and deformed) with the words 'Cantina Tribe' inscribed below it.   As the Tribe has evaded view from the Council, they have moved from hidden area to underground area and so on. They have long since adapted to their own nomadic lifestyle, traveling and settling (temporarily) across the Wastelands, both badlands and desert.   Since the first official sighting of the Cantina Tribe, it has been a few hundred years. How long they were there before then is another mystery yet to be known.
