Tunoda

The donut shaped planet Tunoda revolves around a sun and is accompanied by two moons. Both moons circle around the planet. It is home to various continents, including Matonga (In the upper round corner of the cover image). It was ruled for ten thousand years by the Great Old Ones before it was freed from chaos by the First Alliance.

Geography

The planet is shaped in the form of a donut. It rotates over the axis through the North Pole and South Pole. This means that outer regions have a sunset-sundown rhythm similar to a ball planet whereas inner regions have a view of the other side of the donut, resulting in about an hour of no sun during the day. This is a result of the shadow of the sun sitting behind the other side.

Physical parameters are major radius r1=8037.5km, minor radius r2=1607.5km. Though north and south have meaning, east and west make little sense. A polar coordinate system with two angles describes all possible surface locations. Roo is the big angle and Leah is the smaller angle, both ranging from 0 to 2 pi.
The donut shape is inherently fragile and can be viewed as unstable. Magic initiated by the Great Old Ones reinforces the circular structure to prevent it from collapsing.The planet is shaped in the form of a donut. Fauna & Flora

Various climates are present on this island, a wide range of temperatures and humidities. Due to sun exposure, the inner areas tend to be slightly colder than the outer regions. North and south are colder than zones in between the poles.

Tourism

The planet is closed off from interplanetary travel by very powerful defensive magic. Between continents on the planet, travel by boat is more common, although long distances and travel times somewhat restrict tourism. These routes are more often used for trading.
