Metatron
Aspect of the Tree of LIfe
An angel outside the hierarchy of heaven. Metatron's purpose is to serve as a connection between the mortal and the divine. This is reflected in his truest form, an enormous tree forged from lightning, which stretches from Malkuth to Keter. It is also a duty he serves eagerly. When he is permitted to manifest upon the mortal world, Metatron thrills in speaking to any humans who are able to approach him. Often, the flood of information he provides is more than any supplicant wishes for or can easily understand.
While Metatron does participate in the Divine Council, it is not truly he who leads the sephirot of Keter. That position belongs to the Creator God, for whom Metatron speaks and represents, especially in those matters regarding mortals.
