The Hand of Dawn

Summary

A mysterious man who seems to be aggressively targeting the life of Aotsuki Tsukamoto. Originally appearing in the guise of a White-Masked Merchant, this bandaged maverick somehow interrupted Shigeaki Fujino's teleportation and telepathic abilities. This seemed to be a capability of the negatively incandescent black sun-like sphere contained within his mechanical arm. Indeed, much of this mysterious interloper's body is artificial, karakuri clockwork in nature; enough that he was at first mistaken for a robot, like other White-Masked Merchants.
With Aotsuki and his companions stranded in an unknown part of Japan, the avenger attacked. He displayed powerful unarmed combat abilities and a significant edge over his opponent. More concerning yet, he was able to lock down not only Fujino's psychic powers, but also many of Aotsuki's defensive skills. After striking a nearly-fatal blow upon Aotsuki, however, the bandaged man retreated, muttering something about not yet being "strong enough."
His true identity remains unknown, but he clearly knows and resents Aotsuki. Both the young Daimyō and Kagami recognized something hauntingly familiar in those jade eyes..
