Adathan
The Glacial River
A Cherubim of Geburah and guardian of the First Heavenly Gate, alongside Yadathan. As with all Arbiters, Adathan's duty is the exclusion of outsiders, particularly Humans from Samayim. Unlike others of her kind, however, she seems to take a scornful, almost sadistic pleasure in her task. A sinister smile is oft seen to twist the otherwise carven perfection of her face.
Standing nearly ten feet tall with an abundantly feminine figure carved from marble, Adathan wields a weapon and shield cast from solid ice. This rime is a manifestation of the concept of restraint. Indeed, the instrument wielded in Adathan's left hand can freeze interlopers in place if even the mildest of contact is made. With that said, the manifestation of this ice does have its roots in what humans would understand as common cryokinesis, a psychic power. As such, Adathan's matrices are as susceptible to manipulation or cancelation as those of any mortal.
Her relationship with Yadathan is one of cool professionalism and respect. Although the two differ wildly in temperament, they are equal and tied together at a karmic level. Neither is ever seen without the presence of the other. Adathan cannot be mentioned without Yadathan, and the reverse also holds true.
