Mines of Verdun
Within the head of the Broken Spine of Salazar in eastern Salvae are the Mines of Verdun. The mines are a combination of natural cave systems and man-made expansions. It has produced large ore, stone, and mineral deposits and a small community of crafts and tradesmen have built up the outpost of Verdun around the mines over several decades. Even though it is isolated from the major town hubs and Arine, there are skilled and talented smiths that have made a living supplying tools and equipment for the prospectors and adventurers that frequent the deeper depths of the mines, much of which has yet to be thoroughly explored as it has produced much fortune close to the surface.
