Breakwater Mines
A small silver mine in the westernmost mountain of the Broken Spine south-east of the village-town of Torrin. It was once a successful mine in of itself, but many prospectors and investors saw the mine's returns diminishing after a few years of intense excavating and silver extraction; the claim was abandoned before losses could mount, with much of its bounty heading to Rokthorl or disappearing with the trade caravans heading southward into the Raja'ri Territories and The Gold Plains. But rumor has it that a new, and very healthy-looking, vein of silver was found and excavated out by a ragtag group of miners recently.
History
The Breakwater Mines opened in 956 ATS and remained active until around 967 ATS. The mine produced and tramsported silver even during the peak years of the Salvae Revolution. Its wagon trains were often a high value target for Talan Loyalist forces or highwaymen looking for an easy mark. However, one of the major recievers of this silver was Kinxas Saadar and his clan and many were not so foolish to rob a trade caravan heading towards Rokthorl under the watch of Black Dragonborn guards.
The mine went inactive before the winter of 968 ATS when the silver had dried up and has been abandoned for near four decades now.
