Lieutenant Stella Candello

Stella is currently the first lieutenant of Ruby Squadron, a starfighter squadron in the CKGs. She is one of the youngest ever to make lieutenant, much less first lieutenant.

Personal history

Stella Candello was born in 987 on a small planet in the IPA. Her family moved to Geranium before she was one year old. Stella spent the majority of her childhood at home with her parents and siblings. She had a few friends who lived on her street and made more once she began school. Stella loved learning about the world around her and especially about other worlds. She wanted to explore one day and see the rest of the galaxy.

As soon as she was old enough, Stella asked her parents to enroll her in the CKG programs. Her parents were hesitant to let her join the primarily military group, but shortly after the Visorans attacked a nearby town, they agreed, and she started basic training classes at the CKG base. Stella's favorite subjects were geography, history, and physics, all of which she excelled at. In no time at all, she finished the basic courses and applied for the Starfighter Corps. She was accepted instantly and began the pilot classes as soon as she moved in.

Stella graduated from classes by the time she was thirteen and was assigned to Ruby Squadron, led by Jace Adams, one of her mentors through the pilot courses. She began her time as a regular pilot and spent most of her time on base training and working on strategies. She was able to go on a few missions to Zenricho, Haspanic, and lesser-known local planets, and she loved them. She fought in one battle during her first year as a pilot.

Right before Stella turned fourteen, the new pilot roster was released and Stella was promoted to first lieutenant of Ruby Squadron. Stella was surprised and nervous, but Jace insisted that she was ready. As the first lieutenant, Stella was able to lead her own missions and go where she wanted. The war with the Visorans prevented her from visiting planets for leisure, but she made a list of all the planets she wanted to visit one day. Stella also fought against the

Education

For the first years of her life, Stella remained at home. When she was old enough to attend school, her parents placed her in a local primary school. Stella learned to read and write there. As she grew older, Stella quickly became one of the best in her class, always eager to learn new things and begin new programs. As soon as she could, she entered the entry courses for the CKGs and focused on history, physics, and geography, her favorite subjects. When she was twelve years old, she applied for the Starfighter Corps and went through training to become a pilot, graduating with special honors.

Helen's going through midterms, I think. Mom hasn't talked to her for a little while because of her workload. Tobias is coming to visit next week. He said he was considering switching to law school, but I think he was joking. He prefers studying.

Stella is the youngest of three siblings, with a brother and a sister. Her sister, Helen, is twenty-one and currently attending med school on a distant planet. Her brother, Tobias, is nineteen. He is at a prestigious college on Zenricho. Her parents live on Geranium several towns over from the CKG base. Stella has a good relationship with them and manages decent contact. Her family is proud of her achievements.

Hobbies & Pets

Stella loves flying her starfighter and will often go out for extra flight time, sometimes with Jace or other Ruby Squadron members. In her free time, Stella loves to spend time with friends, read books (mostly cheap fiction novels), catch up on her favorite shows, and play video games. She rarely plays games without other people but often watches her shows alone. She listens to music whenever she reads and also likes to write up battle plans.
Stella has no pets. Her quarters at the CKG base are too small. Her parents own a dog that Stella enjoys playing with when she visits, but her plans for the future do not involve animal companions, especially considering she wishes to explore the galaxy.

Warning: this refers to future events
At the age of fourteen, Stella and her squadron were sent on a mission shortly before an event. During the mission, they were ambushed by a small fleet of Visoran ships and lost several pilots. Stella took charge when Jace Adams, Stella's friend and the leader of Ruby Squadron, stopped responding, and ordered the squadrons back to Geranium, leaving Jace behind. When another squadron went back to the area later, they found no intact ships. Following Jace's presumed death, Stella became the commander of Ruby Squadron. She is determined to see justice done to the Visorans and hopes to one day find out what really happened to her friend.

Social Attitude & Religion

Stella has a sweet personality and is very kind. She loves spending time with others and helping them get through things. She is concerned with her performance around others and is afraid of letting down her friends and squadron. She has the capability to be a great leader, even if she does not know it. Despite her bright nature, Stella has low confidence in her own abilities and often hesitates with big decisions.
Stella's parents and siblings are not devoutly religious, nor is she. She has some belief in a higher power but not defined and she puts more faith in the people she knows.
