Northern Caye Beacon of Refuge
A bustling port town located at the northern shores of the Greenmount Peninsula , outfitted with a large lighthouse that can be seen from anywhere in the northern archipelago, it serves as a landmark and guide for those at sea while navigating the chain of islands. As the closest mainland city, it is a center of commerce and trade, an arrival dock for exotic goods, and egress for those entering and leaving. Fittingly, it is permanent and temporary home to many merchants and sailors, and all those businesses and persons needed to support those endeavors. it is said, almost anything one could want or need can be found for sale from one of the innumerable peddlers on its docks.
As a reflection of the light the large Beacon emits, many of the residents, especially those who have lost a someone at sea, keep a north-ward facing light going at all times, to light the way home for their loved-one's spirit, and guide others to safety. A similar custom is practiced in the sister city, Southern Caye Beacon of Warding, but for a very different reason...

Northern Caye Beacon of Refuge, Post Fall: The emergence of a new sea goddess has caused turmoil amongst those who can control the tides, an important ability and position for a port city. The same change in deities has also thrown the archipelago into political and environmental chaos, with rumors of poisoned fresh water, death of sea life, flooding, and the emergence of a cult dedicated to this new goddess.
