Sharess

Sharess is the mysterious Grand Deity of Darkness - she is not widely worshiped at all, but she is credited as being the mother of Lathander and the lover of Amaunator. The church of Sharess is non-existent at this time, but some particularly ancient Cults of Shar, the Goddess of Darkness specifically relation to Toril, view Shar as a mere extension of Sharess, and do not consider the two deities as different individuals at all.
Sharess shares her name with a Mulhorandi Goddess of hedonism - but Gods are not known to be particularly picky about names.
