Sasau

Sasau is a trade town found near the Monastery of Sasau, which surrounds the Cathedral of St. Roland - a long dead Knight who supposedly fought an ancient evil in the Staglands. Being Monastic Lands, the Church of Amaunator (Illuskan Pantheon ) owns the lands, but they remain a Viscounty of the Staglands and are subject to the rule of the Margrave, Roland Talm who takes his name from the local Saint who is allegedly buried under the ancient Cathedral. Sasau itself is considered a separate entity from the Monastery, however, being a trade town that is ruled largely by guilds, the town is the absolute center of industry and commerce in the Staglands. The town profits greatly from the constant influx of pilgrims, who come to witness the fabled powers of St. Roland's remains.
