Description
The body garden
The section of this Abyssal layer controlled by Tal Iss is known as The Garden, a grotesque realm set within the decaying body of a fallen titan—a creature of incomprehensible size. Tal Iss has transformed the titan's corpse into a twisted, symbiotic ecosystem, manipulating its rotting organs and tissues to create a horrifying and inhospitable domain.
No being, save for worshippers of Tal Iss infected with her parasitic gifts, can hope to survive within the Body Garden. The landscape pulses with fungal growths and swarms of writhing parasites. The air hangs heavy with thick, miasmic fumes, while the unending drone of countless flies fills the senses. Sickly light emanates from bloated spore-sacs that drift through the shadows, their slimy lianas trailing thorns engorged with pus.
The terrain is a nightmarish expanse where:
- Mucus drips from every surface.
- Insects scuttle in unending swarms.
- Noxious gases bubble and pop, releasing waves of nausea to any who breathe them.
- Fountains of bone rise from lakes of congealed ichor, spewing putrid sludge through squealing sphincters.
- Grass blades, resembling rusted knives, creak ominously in the toxic breeze, releasing clouds of spores that can rot mortal flesh in mere moments.
Encircling the titan’s massive form is an evolving fungal ecosystem. These grotesque fungi continuously mutate, their sprawling growth creating new horrors in service to Tal Iss's vile purposes.
Slime Pits
Juiblex’s principal lair is known as the Slime Pits, and is part of the garden, a realm which Juiblex shares with Tal Iss. The Slime pits controled by Juiblex is a bubbling morass of oozing, fetid sludge. Its landscape is covered in vast expanses of caustic and unintelligent slimes, and strange organic forms rise from the oceans of molds and oozes at Juiblex’s command.
Creatures & Denizens
The Body Garden teems with Tal Iss’s demonic legions, each one uniquely adapted to the grotesque environment, and fighting against the oozes of Jubilex.
