Meteor Chasm

In the heart of the Calames Jungle lies a convergence point where a network of rivers and caves all meet around a towering giant tree. Fueled by the nutrients carried by the water, this tree has grown to immense heights, making it the tallest in the jungle. Surrounding the tree, the landscape is marked by sharp features, dangerous cliff edges, and labyrinthine caverns created by the series of chasms and caves.
A magical meteor, summoned by an adventurer, struck the area, wreaking havoc by destroying many of the cliffs and creating a large burning hole in the middle of the ravins. This event triggered a forest fire that swept through the surrounding area, clearing vegetation and reshaping the landscape around the chasm.

History

This place used to be Sseth's lair, the false god of the yuan-ti hoarding treasures in the caves and snaking through the chasms and ravines. But his confrontation with a group of adventurers, ultimately leading to his demise, has left the place uninhabited. Moreover, the place gained the name of Meteor Chasm as the final blow that killed the god was dealt by a summoned meteor falling from the sky.
