Jan'ahrem
Goddess of the sea and wind
An ancient goddess, Jan'ahrem (often called Jana) protects the dispossessed, her presence is most often felt as a soothing breeze, but can become a ferocious tempest against her enemies. She also can manifest in corporeal form as an ethereal figure, comforting the downtrodden. Over the eons, Jana has witnessed the rise and fall of the elves. Through it all, she remains steadfast as a beacon of hope to those in need.
Impassive and slow to anger, Jana is secure in the knowledge that there are few beings that can threaten her status. Once her ire is aroused, however, it is as unstoppable as a cresting wave. To most mortals, Jana is the wind and the sea. The wind and waves, the tides, and the ocean’s bounty—all these are Jana’s dominion. Jana is never satisfied with the status quo, just like the sea and winds, she change on a whims. There is no ultimate goal to this ongoing transformation; the purpose is change itself.
Jan'ahrem's commandments:
- Honor the sea and winds. Sail with caution, understanding their power can both guide and destroy.
- Aid the lost and imperiled on the seas, as Jan'ahrem once shielded mortals from storms and dragons alike.
- Embrace change as the winds and tides do, finding strength in resilience and courage in transformation.
